About Austin

Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Before tattooing, I studied at the Art Institute of Philadelphia and spent countless hours at the Philadelphia Museum of Art studying everything from paintings to sculptures. I’ve always been fascinated by the way artists use detail, texture, and contrast to make an image feel alive.

My path into tattooing took a less traditional route. I started my apprenticeship while serving full-time in the United States Marine Corps, balancing military life with the long hours and dedication required to become a tattoo artist. It wasn’t easy, but the discipline and persistence I developed in the Marines became a huge part of how I approach my craft. After leaving the Corps, I decided to take the leap and pursue tattooing full-time.

I’ve always been drawn to the unusual. I love horror, exploring the outdoors, and finding inspiration in strange and unexpected places. I grew up exploring the weird and mysterious locations featured in the Weird NJ books. That love of the eerie and unconventional continues to influence my artwork today.

My style is rooted in realism, surrealism, cybersigilism, and stippling. I’ve spent countless hours creating pencil and stipple drawings, developing an appreciation for detail that naturally carried over into my tattooing.
